Cabo San Lucas
The dolphin center in Cabo San Lucas is located in the Marina of Cabo San Lucas with easy access to restaurants, stores and souvenir shops. We have other activities departing from this location as well, for this reason we usually have many people there as it is located in the spotlight of Cabo.

The dolphin center in San José del Cabo is a newer location situated just in front of Hyatt Ziva Hotel, it is the only activity taking place here and it is smaller and more exclusive.

A dolphin encounter takes place on a shallow-water platform and does not require swimming, making it ideal for young children and non-swimmers. Dolphin swim programs include activities in deeper water and, depending on the program selected, one or two free-swimming sessions with the dolphin.
The Dolphin Encounter is the best option for young children. It welcomes guests ages one and older and takes place on a shallow-water platform where families can interact with, hug, and kiss a dolphin without swimming.
Yes. The Dolphin Encounter is specifically designed for non-swimmers and takes place on a shallow-water platform. Guests interested in the other programs should be comfortable participating in deeper water. Life jackets are provided and required during every program.
The minimum age depends on the selected program:
- Dolphin Encounter: 1 year old
- Dolphin Swim Experience: 4 years old
- Signature Dolphin Swim: 4 years old
- Premium Dolphin Swim: 4 years old
Children ages 1–9 must participate with a paying adult aged 16 or older. One accompanying adult is required for each child.
Swimming skills are not required for the Dolphin Encounter because the entire interaction takes place on a shallow-water platform. The Dolphin Swim Experience includes activities in a deeper area, while the Signature and Premium programs include free-swimming sessions. Life jackets are provided and required for all participants.
The Signature Dolphin Swim includes one free-swimming session, while the Premium Dolphin Swim includes two. The Dolphin Encounter and Dolphin Swim Experience focus on guided interactions and do not include free-swimming sessions.
The Dolphin Encounter takes place on a shallow platform with approximately 20–30 centimeters of water. The Dolphin Swim Experience combines platform activities with kisses and hugs in a deeper area. Signature and Premium include deeper-water activities and free-swimming sessions.
Cameras and mobile phones are permitted only in the designated observation areas and are not allowed inside the pools. Professional photos of your dolphin experience will be available for purchase after the program.
Yes. Life jackets are provided and required for every participant. Towels, lockers, and wetsuits during the winter months are also provided.
Round-trip transportation is included with the Premium Dolphin Swim. For Dolphin Encounter, Dolphin Swim Experience, and Signature Dolphin Swim, round-trip transportation from most hotels in Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo is available for $15 USD per traveler.
If you prefer to arrange your own transportation, select “No Hotel or No transportation required” when completing your reservation.
Our dolphin programs are offered at two specialized Marine Mammal Centers in Los Cabos:
- Cabo San Lucas, conveniently located at the marina
- San José del Cabo, across from Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

For the safety of our guests, expecting mothers cannot participate in any of our dolphin programs. Our team can help recommend other Cabo Adventures experiences that may be suitable during pregnancy.
We recommend booking your dolphin experience in advance, especially during holidays and peak travel periods. Group sizes and daily schedules are limited, so reserving early gives you the best selection of programs, locations, and departure times.
